Best Doughnuts I've ever had. I will drive for miles to get an apple fritter from here. For the price you will not find a better deal for doughnuts and they are always so fresh you will want to eat 2. The owner and his wife are great people and it makes it better knowing I am supporting such great local small business owners

We were traveling to Gastonia and decided to make a pit stop and we just so happen to come up to this place. We kept seeing the signs of the best donuts or whatever and they weren't lying! The donuts are amazing especially if you catch them when they're freshly made. I'm definitely going to go to this place again if we happen to pass by it!

If you have never had a treat from Sunny’s do yourself a favor and go! It doesn’t look like much from the outside but man do they have some of the best donuts and fritters around. I love the peach fritters and buttermilk bars. The cinnamon rolls are huge and great warm. What I love most about Sunny’s is the people who run this place, never a bad attitude or experience.

They are always nice and friendly here. And they have great tasting donuts...

This place is incredible! It is very small, not really a place to "hang out", but service is fast in friendly. The prices are really reasonable and the donuts are amazing. You can tell they put a lot of effort into each batch. If you're in the area you owe it to yourself to stop by!

Soon as I walked in the cashier was literally fussinv with a customer cursing the whole nine yards. Idk who was in the wrong but she should not have been cursing. I had my young granddaughter with me. Plus the store was dirty

What happened?? This place used to be amazing. We went yesterday afternoon & got 3 different donuts & they were all so super old! They did not have the consistency of a donut... more like a really old croissant. Not even eatable - was such a disappointment :(

We loved the doughnuts and fritters, and we loved the people who run Sunny's. Our favorites are the huge cinnamon rolls, the bear claws, and the banana fritters. The picnic tables and planters make a pleasant place to sit and enjoy your treats.

This is a well-known local spot in Gaffney. Family owned and operated, the owner makes the doughnuts fresh every morning. You can select a custard filling (chocolate, vanilla, bavarian cream) and add it to any doughnut you want. I tried the peach fritter featuring the local peaches and it was delicious. The owner even greets you with his special catch phrase "Have a sunny day!"

Great donuts, just wish they were served warm. The sour cream donuts melt in your mouth. It is hard to pick just one or two. Friendly service. Great hidden gem in the Upstate.

Friendly service with fabulous donuts. I worked for Dunkin back on the day. Sonny's got them like Dunkin used to have them before they changed processes. Hands down best I've had in a long time.

I always stop here for my gas and other nessecites...they are quick and your usually in and out in a short time. Its never crowded which is what i love about this location. And the staff is super friendly and caring. They treat you like family and always keep a smile on their face. For the scratch off lottery people, i would recommend stopping here to get your tickets because i hit everytime i buy one from here. Their donuts are so good and moist i like getting the ones with the sugar rolled on them..they are delicious and will make your mouth water!! I definitely will continue to spend my time and money here as they deserve it!! Keep up the good work!!!

Such a SUPER friendly staff!! This was my 1st visit here. I really wanted a fruity pebble donut(main reason I stopped) they were our but offered to make me 2! YASSSS!!! Everything looked amazing and is so delicious!!

AMAZING DONUTS. I always make a stop off of I-85 just for these guys! Very friendly family that seems to own it. When you go in, this is what you need to get: apple fritters, donut holes, strawberry donuts, and blueberry donuts. Apparently the buttermilk bars are incredible as well, I just haven't had a chance to try them yet! These are seriously gourmet homemade donuts, but low-cost too! Make a detour when you're on 85, you'll thank me later!

We have finally found a GREAT donut shop in SC! Fresh, soft, flavorful donuts - the fritters are awesome! A nice couple runs the gas station/store/donut shop combo. So friendly and gracious.We can't stand the commercial donut shops - Sunny's surpasses them all!

The apple fritters will blow your mind. Plenty of apple chunks in the fritter and it is very fresh. No where else comes close!

Connected to a gas station in a small town. Donuts were some of the best I've tasted. Dough was soft and flavorful. Got a maple donut, apple fritter, and cinnamon roll and all three were excellent.

Best donuts period. The couple who own this is very friendly. Great with recommendations. I've had just about every kind here. Yes I have some that are my least favorite but I won't reveal to keep from influencing people. However, I will reveal my favorites. The peach and apple fritters are simply amazing. And the Long John's which can be filled with custard, lemon, peanut butter or raspberry are awesome. But if they're out, they can fill just about anything. Also, you have to try the buttermilk bars. I can never leave unless I take a suitcase full of their donuts.

Wonderful Donuts! The story has it, that "Sonny" makes all the donuts fresh each day. I can believe it, because they sure are delicious. The filled items are F-I-L-L-E-D! Not like these franchise places where you'd think it'd kill their mother if they added a decent amount of filling. In fact, with some items, the customer has a choice of fillings, and they fill it right there while you wait (like the chocolate chip log on the left if the picture). If you need any more convincing, I made a two hour round trip for the SOLE PURPOSE of getting some if these donuts! The donuts at the top of the picture didn't travel so well on my motorcycle, but they were still yum yummy. For reference, the box is about 15" wide. When you get there, yes, it's at/in a gas station convenience store.

Best. Donuts. Ever. Found this place on Google and we've stopped in several times since discovering it in February. Always fresh donuts, great service, and reasonable prices. I love Sunny's!! I only wish I didn't live 2.5 hours away!

It may be inside a convenience store but these are the best donuts I’ve had hands down. They are fresh everyday, hand mixed, and are better than high end donuts I’ve had before. AND they are a short drive off 85, definitely worth stopping (or road tripping) for.

Today was my first visit here. My companion had been here several times before and raved about the bear claws. We were greeted by two very friendly gentlemen. I asked if the long john was filled with Bavarian pudding and found out that there were a few choices and it would be filled right then and there. I chose the chocolate with Bavarian pudding. It was perfect. I also tried one of the bear claws that my companion got. It was filled with an apple cinnamon filling and was also very good. I look forward to trying more options in the future. 😊
